Got beef with Grand Rapids? Maybe it’s a pothole that’s been there forever. A neighborhood that needs some love. A resource you wish existed. Something about the city’s culture that drives you nuts. A cleanup that keeps getting ignored. A system that makes something harder than it should be. Bring it to Bi-Weekly Beef. Every other week at WORKHQ, we’re opening the floor for Grand Rapids residents to talk about the things they think could be better in our city. This isn’t a formal town hall, and there’s no podium or prepared agenda. It’s an open, casual community conversation where people can share what’s bothering them, hear how others experience the same issue, trade ideas, and maybe even stumble into a solution. Sometimes you just need somewhere to say, “Does this bother anyone else?” Other times, the person across the room might know a resource, have an idea, or be willing to help do something about it. The only big rule: no political or religious beef. We’re here to talk about Grand Rapids itself, not turn the room into a debate over parties, candidates, or beliefs. Come vent a little. Listen a little. Meet some neighbors. Leave with a different perspective, a new idea, or maybe even a plan. 👧 Got kiddos? Bring them with you! Storybook Lane, our parent-present children’s space, will be available during Bi-Weekly Beef so your kids can have a space of their own while you join the conversation.
