Day Pass Terms & Facility Waiver
v1.0WORKHQ Day Pass Terms & Facility Waiver
Short-form terms for day-pass, guest, trial, complimentary, promotional, and free co-working day access
1. Scope
These Day Pass Terms & Facility Waiver apply to any paid, complimentary, promotional, free coworking-day, trial, guest, visitor, or similar non-recurring access approved by WORKHQ. Access is not permitted until these terms are signed or electronically accepted.
A day pass is temporary permission to use approved WORKHQ areas for the approved date, time, and purpose only. It does not create membership, tenancy, leasehold rights, recurring access, address-use rights, reservation priority, or any property interest.
2. Annual Re-Signature
Each day-pass user must re-sign or electronically re-accept these terms at least annually and sooner if WORKHQ updates its terms, waiver, safety rules, payment workflow, access rules, or other policies.
3. Access and Guests
Day-pass access is limited to the approved coworking areas and times. WORK HQ may deny or end access based on capacity, safety, payment status, operational needs, expired terms, misconduct, or any violation of the WORK HQ Standard.
A day-pass user may not bring additional guests, children, vendors, clients, contractors, or invitees unless WORK HQ approves them and they complete any required day pass, waiver, or acknowledgment.
4. The WORK HQ Standard
The WORK HQ Standard is incorporated into these terms. Day-pass users must follow all community standards, posted rules, staff directions, shared-space expectations, confidentiality expectations, safety rules, and zero-tolerance policies.
WORK HQ may immediately remove a day-pass user, cancel access, deny future access, retain payment, and impose a permanent ban for violation, safety concerns, harassment, intimidation, theft, property damage, aggressive solicitation, spam, substance misuse, unauthorized recording, unauthorized access, or other misconduct.
5. Facility Waiver and Assumption of Risk
User understands that shared workspace use involves ordinary and inherent risks, including slips, trips, falls, illness exposure, equipment use, furniture use, technology failures, parking lot risks, interactions with other users, and ordinary facility hazards.
To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan law, User assumes those risks and releases WORK HQ, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, landlords, agents, affiliates, successors, and assignees from claims arising from ordinary facility risks, except to the extent a claim cannot lawfully be waived.
6. Property, Damage, and Cleanup
User is responsible for personal property and must leave spaces clean and in substantially the same condition received. WORK HQ is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, misplaced, or abandoned property except to the extent required by law.
User is responsible for damage, excessive cleaning, missing equipment, policy violations, or losses caused by User or User's invitees.

The WORKHQ Standard
v1.0The WORKHQ Standard
Community expectations, safety rules, and zero-tolerance standards
1. People Before Processes
WORKHQ is built around people doing meaningful work in shared space. Policies matter, but they exist to protect people, presence, safety, trust, and hospitality. Members and users are expected to act with care even when a rule does not spell out every situation.
2. Protect Presence
Protecting presence means giving others room to think, work, parent, meet, create, and recover without unnecessary interruption. Use phone booths, meeting rooms, headphones, lower voices, written messages, or a different area when the shared environment calls for it.
3. Hospitality
Hospitality at WORKHQ is practical: greet people warmly, leave rooms ready for the next person, reset what you used, be generous with space, and make it easier for the next person to settle in.
4. Respect for Different Work Styles
Some people need quiet focus. Some people collaborate out loud. Some are managing deadlines, clients, children, caregiving, grief, launches, job searches, or fragile capacity. Members and users must respect different work styles while staying within posted space expectations and staff direction.
5. Community Contribution
Members and users should contribute to a healthy community by communicating clearly, honoring reservations, reporting issues early, welcoming new people appropriately, sharing space fairly, and protecting the trust that makes shared workspace possible.
6. No Aggressive Solicitation or Spam
Networking is welcome when it is respectful and consent-based. Aggressive solicitation, pressure tactics, repeated unwanted pitches, list scraping, spam, mass messaging, ambush sales, misleading offers, or using WORKHQ access primarily to sell to members is prohibited.
7. Confidentiality
Treat other people's work as confidential. Do not read screens, photograph whiteboards, listen in on private calls, repeat personal or business information, copy documents, use overheard information, or disclose anything that was not clearly intended for you.
8. Shared-Space Expectations
Clean up after yourself and your guests.
Honor room bookings, time limits, quiet zones, posted rules, and staff directions.
Use headphones or private space for audio, video, and confidential calls when appropriate.
Keep walkways, exits, kitchens, restrooms, shared tables, and equipment usable for others.
Report spills, damage, safety concerns, harassment, access issues, or suspicious activity promptly.
9. Family and Storybook Lane Expectations
Storybook Lane is exclusively the kids area. It is not childcare, daycare, babysitting, school, camp, or drop-off care. Parents and legal guardians remain responsible for children at all times and must follow the Storybook Lane Guidelines & Parent/Guardian Acknowledgment.
The Landing is a separate shared workspace available to members and other authorized users. It is not parent-exclusive and must remain workable for the broader WORK HQ community.
No one may intentionally photograph, video, livestream, record, or publish images or identifying information of children without written parent/guardian permission and WORK HQ approval.
10. Safety
Members and users must act in ways that protect physical, emotional, operational, and data safety. Unsafe conduct, blocked exits, unauthorized access, misuse of doors or credentials, tampering with systems, hazardous materials, threatening behavior, theft, vandalism, and failure to follow emergency directions are prohibited.
11. Zero Tolerance
WORK HQ has zero tolerance for violence, threats, harassment, stalking, intimidation, discrimination, hate speech, sexual misconduct, theft, vandalism, weapons where restriction is allowed by law, illegal drugs, unsafe impairment, child endangerment, intentional privacy violations, unauthorized recording of children, fraudulent address use, or conduct that creates a serious safety, trust, or operational concern.
A zero-tolerance violation may result in immediate removal, immediate cancellation, permanent ban, reporting to authorities where appropriate, and any other action WORK HQ determines necessary without refund or credit..
12. Enforcement
WORK HQ may address conduct through reminders, coaching, warnings, reservation limits, access restrictions, suspension, cancellation, no refund, removal from the property, denial of future access, or permanent ban. WORK HQ may act immediately when it determines that safety, trust, operations, or community integrity require it.
The Standard applies to members, day-pass users, guests, children, authorized corporate users, event attendees, vendors, contractors, and any person using WORK HQ through another person's account or reservation.
